Social Reintegration and Restoration of Adult Women Involved in Sexual Commerce

Care and support for adult women who have been involved in sexual commerce, seeking the restoration of their rights
that have been violated during such activities. This includes promoting the improvement of their quality of life and
establishing a life project based on a healthy lifestyle free from any form of violence.

To contribute to the physical and emotional protection and well-being of adult women who have been victims of sexual commerce in Costa Rica, through comprehensive care that enables the restitution of their rights, facilitating their reintegration into society with new skills, including support for their children.

Group Area

Beneficiaries join a group with a socio-educational purpose that allows them to reflect on their experience in sexual commerce and acquire knowledge in various areas to improve their quality of life and that of their families. The group is made up of six modules, logically structured to promote healthier lifestyles, with the ultimate goal of developing a new life project outside sexual commerce.

Individual Area

Individual Area

  • Psychological care is offered to address the consequences of sexual commerce and other experiences lived by the beneficiaries, such as sexual abuse, violence, homelessness, and drug use, among others.
  • Social work begins by identifying individual needs and coordinating inter-institutional actions to guarantee and uphold their rights.
  • In terms of vocational support, the main goal is to recognize each person’s skills, strengths, and talents, providing technical and vocational training to facilitate integration into the labor market or the development of micro-enterprises.

Spiritual Area

The spiritual support area offers a space for guidance and learning to build a relationship with God. This allows beneficiaries to understand the importance of including God in their lives, enabling them to find new perspectives for addressing their challenges.
